We plan, manage and evaluate our projects with responsibility and efficiency in order to obtain a positive return on social investment and ensure the sustainability of the Institute. We demonstrate the results of our actions through continuous, open communication with our investors.
Since 2010, Verdemar has been making weekly donations of baked goods to Casa do Jardim. After providing morning and afternoon snacks to our students, we send the remaining breads and baked items home with the children on Friday afternoons and then divide up the leftovers with São Judas Tadeu daycare and the Primeiros Passos (First Steps) project.
Hudson Imports has been contributing monthly to Casa do Jardim since 2010. The company also offers support through their Bazaar, where they provide space for Casa do Jardim to promote our work and raise funds.

Our relationship with Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Nova Lima (The Municipal Secretary of Education of Nova Lima) dates back to the beginning of Casa do Jardim´s Broadening Horizons Program in 2007.
The Secretary makes a weekly contribution of fruit for our students’ morning and afternoon snacks.
Every year since 2007, we also jointly organization a summer camp in July.
Since 2012, every year, The Municipal Secretary of Education of Nova Lima supports financially Casa Jardim´s Broadening Horizons Program.
Since 2014, the partnership between Casa do Jardim and The Municipal Secretary of Education of Nova Lima extended and built up through More Education Program of Jardim Canadá.
The first company in Jardim Canadá to invest in Casa do Jardim, MG Mármores e Granitos has been contributing monthly to the project since 2008. The first contributions were designated toward the purchase of playground equipment which our students use every day during Play Time. The company’s director, Rodrigo Toledo, also invests his time to help Casa do Jardim find new investors.

Since 2010, Casa do Jardim has been participating in a group, organized by Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC), that is looking at various ways to promote local development in the region.
Also, in early 2010, FDC made a financial contribution to enable Casa do Jardim to participate in IBM’s global corporate volunteer initiative. For a month in early 2010, our project received the volunteer support of two IBM executives, one from IBM USA and the other from IBM Germany. In August 2010, FDC recommended Casa do Jardim to be the beneficiary of a social responsibility initiative undertaken by the UK-based multinational, Halma.
In May 2011, FDC’s Sustainability Committee sub-group on Social Innovation Projects contracted IDLI Casa do Jardim to conduct a research project on the socio-demographic and educational reality of Jardim Canadá.
Municipal Council of Child and Adolescent of Nova Lima started its partnership with Casa do Jardim in 2013 through companies and people´s financial donations through a tax incentive FIA - Fundo Municipal da Infância e Adolescência (Municipal Found of Childhood and Adolescence).
Benvinda Pinto Rocha Municipal School is Casa do Jardim´s partner since the beginning of our Broadening Horizons Program in 2007. It frequently contributes as a huge partner of our Program through support, exchanges and attention of its teachers, directors and supervisors to our students and their families. It also participates of our Schedules Visits. All of this effort is to improve the quality of education in Jardim Canadá.
Vale became Casa do Jardim partner in 2013 through a tax incentive FIA - Fundo Municipal da Infância e Adolescência (Municipal Found of Childhood and Adolescence) and trought direct financial resources in 2014 and 2015.
Since 2013, Vale has also been supporting Casa do Jardim trhough its Vale Volunteers Group, employees of this company, who made and are making donation campaigns of school materials, gifts, chocolats in Easter Time and as well as organizing excursions in Vale´s Mutuca Mining and Minas Vale Memorial to Casa do Jardim´s children and adolescents.

Marcelo Guimarães Advogados Associados
Marcelo Guimarães Advogados has been supporting Casa do Jardim since the beginning, through the participation of Thiago Camargo who is a founding Board member and provides ongoing legal advice to the organization.
Through IBM’s social responsibility and global leadership program – IBM Corporate Service Corps (CSC), Casa do Jardim received the volunteer support of two IBM executives (from the US and Germany) for one month in early 2010. The objective was to develop communication strategies and tools to attract new investors.
Following the work of these international volunteers, two volunteers from IBM Nova Lima contributed to the development of a project focused on measuring our impact, as well as securing IBM Community Grants.
Rich Skinner (IBM USA) and Sylvia Stratmann (IBM Germany) continue to support Casa do Jardim by assisting with our international fundraising campaigns.
The Itau-Unicef Award recognizes and motivates NGOs that contribute to complementary education for children and youth in Brazil
At the end of 2011, the Broadening Horizons Project of the Institute for Local Integrated Development Casa do Jardim received the Itau-Unicef Award as 1 of 32 projects in Brazil that are making a significant contribution to improving the quality of education for children.
Since receiving this award, Casa do Jardim also received a large grant from Itau Unibanco in January 2012.
